Our Story

I built Noptin because I was fed up with slow solutions that complicated the simple act of staying in touch. One late night, after wrestling with a sluggish newsletter plugin, I thought: “There’s gotta be a better way!”

That moment ignited the spark for Noptin—a tool designed to be fast, efficient, and free of unnecessary baggage.

Noptin began on March 5th, 2019, as a simple idea—a lean newsletter subscription block that didn’t even bother showing a subscriber list. It was our answer to clunky, bloated tools that made everyone wait.

Fast-forward through countless tweaks, midnight coffee runs, and those “aha” moments, Noptin has evolved into a full-featured platform that sends emails, runs smart automation, and even connects with third-party CRMs.

2019

March 4, 2019 Started work on Noptin.

March 5, 2019 Released the first version:- A newsletter subscription block.

March 8, 2019 Added an email subscribe widget to enhance user engagement.

March 15, 2019 A competitor recognized Noptin’s potential and hired me (I eventually quit in July).

August 21, 2019 Launched new post notification emails to keep subscribers informed.

August 25, 2019 Accepted a new job offer, balancing work on Noptin with fresh professional challenges.

2020

January 20, 2020 Introduced the ability to import subscribers—expanding Noptin’s utility.

March 3, 2020 Enabled exporting of subscribers as JSON, XML, or CSV for versatile data handling.

March 28, 2020 Added integrations with popular plugins like WooCommerce, EDD, Gravity Forms, and CF7.

April 8, 2020 Empowered admins to edit email subscribers directly, streamlining management.

June 16, 2020 Rolled out automation rules, taking Noptin’s capabilities to the next level.

2024

January 2024 Quit my day job to focus full time on Noptin—a turning point for the project.

March 2024 Released a drag and drop email editor, marking another milestone in our commitment to innovation.
