Ways to connect these tools

These are examples. Available fields depend on the event and the choices on your site or connected account.

Add a WordPress role when someone gains SureMembers access

  1. SureMembersWhen a user is added to an access group
  2. WordPress UsersAdd a role to a user

Limit the trigger to the membership level or access group that should grant this role. Map the member email from the trigger to User ID or email address in User > Add Role, then choose a fixed role. The WordPress account must already exist. Grant only the permissions appropriate for that membership; other roles remain.

Remove a WordPress role when someone loses SureMembers access

  1. SureMembersWhen a user is removed from an access group
  2. WordPress UsersRemove a role from a user

Limit the trigger to the membership level or access group tied to this role. Map the member email from the trigger to User ID or email address in User > Remove Role, then choose that fixed role. Remove it only if another active membership does not also require it. The account and its other roles remain.
